I was hooked by the first chapter, and I saw the love that flowed through Kevin for Kayn, his best friend and how he stuck with her when he didn't know what he signed up for! The magical clans wanted Kayn as she was the only female beside her brother at college left as some thing or some one killed her parents and her twin sister. I loved that Kevin was so concerned about his best friend since they were five years old, and he knew her better than anyone else. This book is filled with action, wise cracking humor, and love that I HAVE TO READ THE NEXT BOOK! ( ) Cette critique a été rédigée pour LibraryThing Member Giveaways. This book has a great story and fully developed characters with distinctive personalities and past histories. I was never one for reading romance novels or watching soap operas, but I did enjoy this book because the plot was so interesting. I think this book series is more geared towards teenagers and young adults because it centers around high school, young love and that important first kiss. While I was reading this book I was wondering why this book series wasn't made into a series for teenagers on Netflix yet. I think it would be very popular and do well ratings wise. Some stand out more than others as is always the case. The tragedy that happens at the start might have had a bigger impact if we knew the characters a little more before it happened. Seems this is the first book out of who knows how many. https://theworldisabookandiamitsreader.wordpress.com/2021/10/15/and-ok-ya-novel/ Cette critique a été rédigée pour LibraryThing Member Giveaways. the hunger games, divergent and harry potter all mixed into one. Such intriguing storytelling. You will fall in love with the characters immediately and want to be one as well. Whether you are a teenager or an adult this book is for those brave enough to take this journey. Cette critique a été rédigée pour LibraryThing Member Giveaways. This book is full of magic and supernatural stuffThe story is about 2 kids and their YA issues as they learn that magic is real and that they and their families are special. It's a mix of action, humor, lust, and drama. Kayn and Kevin's sarcasm and senses of humor are awesome. And their characters are very strong. But, the overall tone of the book is very dark and gory. So, yeah. Reader discretion advised. I liked the book. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

This paranormal fantasy will leave you breathless as it takes you through the darkness and leads you back out into the secret world of immortality triggered by choices in the afterlife. The end of her life is only the beginning of her story. The monster hadn't come for her during the night as she'd imagined a monster would when she was small. Those were the childhood rules. If you survive or have shown great bravery during your demise, you may be granted a second chance at life by one of the three Guardians of the in-between. For your soul's protection until your 18th year, you must join one of three clans of immortals living on earth... Ankh, Trinity or Triad. You are totally still reading this, aren't you? You've got this. Welcome to the Children Of Ankh Series Universe. This is not a fairy tale. This is a nightmare. Let's do this... The end of her life was only the beginning of her story... A comic romp through the afterlife with three Clans of naughty certifiably insane antiheroes who battle while collecting partially immortal teenagers as they survive the exterminations of their family lines on their sixteenth year. If they've impressed the Guardians of the in-between with their bravery, they shall be granted a second chance at life as sacrificial lambs for the greater good. They must join one of three Clans of immortals living on earth and can be stolen at random by any other Clan until their eighteenth birthday. Plot twist...To prove their partially mortal brains are capable of grasping immortality, they will be dropped into an Immortal Testing which is basically a simulation of their own personal hells. Like rats in a maze made of nightmares and other ghastly depraved thoughts best left locked behind those mortal happy place filters, they must come out mentally intact after being murdered in thousands of increasingly creative ways. She had never coveted the role of princess. She'd always wanted to be the hero. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
