For fans of the dark comedy film Tie Me Up, Tie Me Down comes an erotic exploration in domination and submission where Ivy League students let their naughtiest desires run wild... If you think my besties Lex, Taddy, and Vive have had some bad luck earlier this year, cut to me at Glamorama. Last thing I remembered was dancing with Diego and Miguel from my English class, when the room started... spinning. And not in a good way! We got sick. Think Regan in The Exorcist. Taddy was rushed to the hospital. Holding on for dear life, I was carried out by the boys and taken back to their dorm. Now I'm waking up in Diego's bed and Miguel keeps staring at me from across the room. I've wanted to get into these dudes' pants since the first day of class. But Diego told me he likes to be tied up and-wait for it-spanked. WTF! The news on TV reports that last night we all got roofied. And Vive just texted me saying that someone is out to kill her. Could this semester get any more bizarre? --Blake Morgan, college freshman, gay best friend, virgin The Undergrad Years is a naughty new adult contemporary miniseries about first loves, independence, and everlasting friendships.… (plus d'informations)

Avery Aster did it again. This is an amazing book and once again I'm reminded why I love Avery's books so much. I'm not a big fan of books with relationship between men just because I enjoy more about relationships between females or between a man and a woman. Maybe that is because I'm a girl myself and I want to really get into the book and imagine myself feeling and doing similar things that they are doing in the books. ;) But, this book was totally worth the read and it gives a nice insight on how Blake became the Blake he is in the Manhattanies series 10 years later. I can't wait to read Blake's story Unsaid and I'm totally mesmerised by Avery's writing skills. I love Fifty Shades of Grey-trilogy but I have to say I'm totally in love with the Manhattanies and I cannot wait to know how Blake and all the other's lives will turn up later. Just perfect.

Crazy, sexy, steamy, hilariously over-the-top book. Characters, this time main focus is on Blake, are so confident in their station in life, yet also so vulnerable and with hidden insecurities.

This series, and this book takes over where Gossip Girl left off, but ramps it up a few notches. The story and the characters are so awesome that you turn pages without noticing that you've read 250 pages. I could happily read 250 more. Hope the series continues and I can read a few more of these books.

I super highly recommend. ( )

Maybe because I didn't read the previous books. Maybe because none of my homosexual friends behaved in the manner these characters did. Maybe because I never hung around people that constantly got into trouble after trouble, after stinking trouble. I just could not relate to Vive, Blake, Taddy and the rest of the crew. They seemed to hemorrhage issues that can get pretty old after a while.

I'm not going to say I didn't like this book, but I really couldn't get into it. I found the style a bit off, but the voice was consistent. I also found they were the most immature bunch I've ever reason. It's sorta funny, because even though I was curious about boyfriends, sex and partying, I was also mature enough to only want love and keep away from people I knew were trouble, long before I ever got to college.

I understand there's a series to this book and Xo, Blake is just a small piece to the collection. I'm not sure I'm ready for the previous books. I'm not even sure I'm ready for the ones after this one! I can say this, Avery Aster has a style all his own and it shows in Blake, the main character.

Xo, Blake is about a young man who's found family in a groupof girls who are just as lost and confused as he is. He's not flaming, but he's on the prowl for love... in a crush who's got some intense sexual desires. Blake isn't ready for all this and he's not ready to give up his virginity- no matter how he dreams and fantasizes.

I wasn't really in to this book, but I can tell there's a style in the way it was written that could make for a fun read, if I was really in to this genre. Sadly, I'm not but I do give this a decent rating. There's a lot of background given and evidently stated from previous books, so there's a history you can use to work your way in to this series if you want it. There's also another book calling my name so off to the next one! ( )
