This is a fun little cozy mystery. Marcy Singer owns the Seven-Year Stitch shop in the small town of Tallulah Falls, Oregon. She has a boy friend, Ted, on the police force, and an Irish Wolfhound, Angus, to keep her company in the shop and nuzzle the customers.

The big news in town is the opening of a textile show at the local museum. The big news the next day is Marcy finding one of those textiles, a kelim tapestry, in the alley behind her shop, a bit the worse for wear - it is rolled around a dead body. The dead man was wanted for the theft of a Cezanne painting some years ago, and may have been the mastermind behind the museum theft the night before.
