The language used in this book was descriptive and created a clear description for the readers. For instance the author uses words such as “pointy”, “dirty”, and “sparkly” to describe the different shoes the main character sees throughout her day. Another highlight of this book was the manner in which the story flowed. It had a rhythm that was easy for the reader to follow and was repeated on each page. For example one page was, “tired shoes, dirty shoes,” while another was “warm shoes, soft shoes.” The repetition of the word shoes especially emphasizes the rhythm. ( ) I think that this book is a cute simple children's book that is great for young readers. The story is all about a little girl who wants a new pair of shoes to wear to one of her friend's birthday parties. She choices a red pair because they are extra special and unlike all the others she sees in the store. This book is very simplistic but has a plot for young girls especially that is amusing and relatable. I can honestly say I liked it for one main reason, and that is its cute poetic text that captures and young girl interest. The illustrations also go hand in hand with the age and gender interest because they are vibrant and captivating to the eye. I think that the overall big idea of this book would be to satisfy any little girl's interest in her clothes. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
