I expected this book to be somewhat saturated with sex and I was pleasantly surprised that it was not. The characters are well-made and realistic. Hanna and Joel both sound perfect for each other. At first, it seems as if they're always going to be at odds with one another, but as the story progresses, it's clear that they're perfect for one another. Also, the setting sounds divine! I think I would love Walker Island the way Lucy Kevin describes it. I think I'll be re-reading this book again!

This was a very delightful, fun, romantic book with love and without all the sex and foul language. It was a joy to read and I look forward to reading more in the “Walker Island” series since this was the first.

The story was about Hanna Walker who is a film student and needs to do a documentary to get into the master’s program. She decides to do it on the biggest feud on the island which is between her family and the Peterson’s. The Walker-Peterson feud goes back to the early 1950’s and Hanna needs to get the documents in the archives but is denied by Joel Peterson, grandson of one of the originals’ in the feud. She must show Joel that she means no harm but wants to document what actually happens. The two of them dig into what actually happened to cause the feud and are not only surprised by the truth but surprised by their feelings as well.

The story and characters are well written and it’s always a pleasure to read a sweet romance without all the steamy sex and foul language once in a while. I look forward to reading more of the Walker Island series. ( )
