I honestly can't think of any other book that has made me feel this strongly. And the bad part of that is that it's not a good feeling. Fool Me Twice... How do I even begin to explain Fool Me Twice? I had been so excited when a friend gave me the book. The story seemed nice. I mean, a plot where the protagonist's ex gets amnesia and she plans revenge on him? Give me 10, hands down! Unfortunately, a nice back cover was all I got from this book. As soon as the story started, the clichés and the stupidity of most of the characters made the book SO. HARD. TO READ. I mean, this is a really short book, but I was so grossed out with the cliché-ness of the book that I had to put it down and go kill some zombies in Silent Hill before continue reading. I did laugh some times during the process of "revenge" of Mackenzie (that's the only reason this has 2 stars and not only one), but that wasn't enough to fill me. I have to say, maybe the book isn't so bad. But I read it directly after two books I simply loved and this book didn't make the cut. It was too... bland for me. Maybe other people may enjoy it (and I will pray for their souls, 'cause, really, this ain't going to save you). It just wasn't my cup of tea. In this book there is a girl named Mackenzie and there is a boy named Landon. Both of them used to date until the first day of school when he was with a different girl.So he broke up with Mackenzie. During the summer Landon fell off a horse and landed on his head. He got amnesia and could not remember anything except last summer. After he got amnesia Mackenzie started playing tricks on him. At the end of the book she had to tell him that she was playing tricks on him but he already knew about them. So they made up, I liked this book because it explains how girls feel when guys break up with them. It had lots of animals in it so that really made me happy.I also liked it when it started talking about funny tricks like mouse traps and cups filled with water all over their bedrooms. Some people don't like to match their clothes in summer so this book makes it fun to wear what ever you like. It talks a little bit about families so i really enjoyed that. The book expresses feelings in people. It tells about couples and how they feel when they are dating, do they like the same things as they did the year after that or not, so that was really interesting to know. This was one of those books where I know I wasn't the target audience. There were some pretty big plot holes, but it was a cute, fluffy romance. I will be recommending this to teens who like this genre. Mack was unceremoniously dumped by Landon at the end of last summer. She thought they had the perfect romance and she had definitely fallen in love with him. Then, on the first day of school he started making out with his ex. No explanations or anything. So when the opportunity to pay him back for breaking her heart arises, Mack jumps at the chance. She is going to make sure Landon gets everything he deserves. Let's just hope her feelings don't get in the way aucune critique | ajouter une critique

HTML: Enjoy Fool Me Twice and the other standalone titles in Bloomsbury's contemporary If Only romance line centered around an impossible problem: you always want what you can't have! Mackenzie and Landon were the perfect couple...until he dumped her and broke her heart. Fast-forward a year and they're back where they first met-Serenity Ranch and Spa, where they are once again working together for the summer. Talk about awkward. Then, Landon takes a nasty fall and gets amnesia. Suddenly, he's stuck in the past-literally. His most recent memory is of last summer, when he and Mack were still together, so now he's calling her pet names and hanging all over her. It's the perfect chance for revenge. The plan is simple: keep Landon at arm's length, manipulate him so he's the one falling love, and then BAM, dump him. There's just one problem: Mack can't fall for Landon all over again. The If Only romance line is all about wanting what you can't have, and Mandy Hubbard's hilarious break-up/love story is sure to captivate anyone who has ever wished for a second shot at love. .Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
