Walter Murphy is a fifty-six-year old professional hitman for organized crime, not a murderer. He takes his craft very seriously, and has just one more contract to complete before he can retire to Seattle. It's an easy mark. Shouldn't take more than a few days to formulate a plan and execute it. Then he notices his target being followed by two men in dark suits. He knows who they are, and what they want. It just got complicated. Wes Parker is a werewolf, only he desperately wishes he wasn't. He's grown tired of transforming into a terrifying creature at every full moon. That's why he's returned to Kenton, Kentucky to see Father Benton, the man who raised him, the man who first taught him how to resist the terrible urges. Jaime Allen, even at thirteen years old, is a natural leader. But when he convinces two of his friends to join him in exploring an old, rundown farmhouse in the woods, the site of a violent double murder, things go horribly wrong. Together, these three strangers will have to face their darkest fears in a life-and-death struggle against unimaginable creatures, learning that sometimes hope is the best weapon you have. And that sometimes surviving isn't enough.… (plus d'informations)

I began reading "Silver Summer" after dark and stopped. Scary? Yes.
Daytime reading is suggested. "Silver Summer" is a great read for true werewolf lovers.
This novel is a thriller and not for the faint of heart.
