At the museum they learn about planets in our solar system, the moons of different planets, the sun and stars, and the life of an astronaut. It also gives readers some information on significant events by astronauts and scientists regarding space. The book helped readers pronounce words that may be unknown or difficult to some, like meteoroids and universe. The pictures are also very informational and descriptive to match the reading. This book could be a good way to transition readers into informational topics as Fly Guy is a popular fiction read for students. I think it is also a good book to use to get students interested in the topic if shared whole class. Since the book helps students pronounce words and has pictures that helps them understand what they are reading, this is also a book students could read individually to gain more background knowledge on a topic. "Fly Guy Presents: Space" is a guided reading book that could be used for all ages. Fly Guy throughout the book is teaching readers about space, he is the comic relief of the book. Throughout the book there is highlighted important words and side notes to teach readers about space. I would defiantly have this book in my classroom because it not only educational but fun. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

In the classroom: This book has lots of information. It would be great for a unit on space as an opener. It covers too much to be great for one specific unit so I wouldn't spend much time on it. It would be great to connect more students to science as Fly Guy books are very popular. ( )
