(El cochecito, 1960) Black comedy about an old man who wants a motorized cart so he can ride through town with his disabled friends. When his family refuses to buy it for him, he methodically poisons them one by one, using their tiny legacies to finance his purchase(Il seme dell'uomo = The seed of man, 1969) In the days immediately following a plague that has wiped out most of the world's population, a young couple struggle with whether or not to have a child(La grande bouffe = The big feast, 1973 ) Four world-weary middle-aged men decide to gorge themselves to death in one final orgiastic weekend full of gourmet food, call girls, and a hefty, lusty schoolteacher(Touche pas à la femme blanche = Don't touch the white woman, 1974) Presents a unique and anachronistic pastiche on the American western and a subversive swipe at the treatment of Native Americans. As the cavalry fights the Indians, coward General Custer is trying to fight off the advances of both Sitting Bull and Marie-Hélène while modern day Parisian life goes on around them(Rêve de singe = Bye bye monkey, 1978) A young man who works with a feminist acting troupe finds a young chimpanzee and adopts her. The chimp also is seen as a threat by a wax museum owner and as another man's hope(Chiedo asilo = Seeking asylum, 1979) A playful, innocent preschool teacher in Bologna, Italy leads his charges on unorthodox field trips and entertains them in kooky ways. Able to view life through a child's eyes, he grows exceptionally close to his pupils(Tales of ordinary madness, 1981) Charles Serking, a hard-drinking poet living in the dark-alley of the world, is surrounded by desperate and depraved characters such as his ex-wife and Cass, the prostitute he loves. Cass inspires him to write and soon he must choose between her and his "art"(La casa del sorriso = The house of smiles, 1988) An elderly woman struggles to find love and to survive inside a repressive retirement home… (plus d'informations)
