Pulse was a little slow at the beginning, however, the more I read, the more I liked it! At first, I didn't really see the point of the story. Plus, I didn't care for the characters all that much, until more of the plot and conflicts were revealed. I liked Hawk and Dylan, though I thought that more could've been done with Dylan's character. However, despite Pulse's slow start, I thought that overall, it was a good story, and I'm interested to see where this saga goes. I think that there is a lot of potential for this series. Faith, Hawk, Dylan, and the others could end up starring in some really cool books! I was intrigued by the plot line of this book, but I frequently found the third person voice confusing. The author had a tendency to switch perspectives without much warning, which left me wondering which character was speaking or thinking. Considering I finished this book just a few days ago and can barely remember the ending, I can't say I would highly recommend it. (By my 12-year old daughter.) I liked “Pulse” by Patrick Carman, but it had a very slow start. I kept waiting for it to start talking about a pulse and until then, it didn’t make a lot of sense. It was a little boring and had these random events occurring. The main character is Faith Daniels, a teenager in high school in a world where books have been abandoned for Tablets. Faith and Liz go to the old grade school library, which is deserted, they read picture books – which in a world where everything is on a Tablet – makes them feel like they are in a different world. Their lives don’t seem like anything special until something happens to Faith that changes everything. Once that happens, the book was a lot more interesting. There was a lot more action, and some fighting and I wanted to find out what happened. Faith and Dylan were my favorite characters. If there is another book after “Pulse” I would want to read it to find out what happens to them. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
