I didn't laugh, and for me, that's what set these apart from other paranormal hot n heavy stories. Also very, very short. Not a novella, more like a chapter. ( ) Gideon is a wolf Wyr investigator who meets Alice after she found her friend and fellow chameleon shifter murdered. He's been in the Army for a 100 years and isn't sure how comfortable he is living in the city. He comes across as the big, bad, lonely alpha. Whereas Alice is a shy, introvert and one of the rare Chameleon Wyr. Alice had just discovered her friend's body and hides when she hears Gideon come on the scene. At first Alice thought he might be the murderer so she hides and then runs from him, but once that's cleared up she realized he's her mate. Gideon took a look at Alice and found his 'true north' not realizing she was his mate but knowing he'd found home. This is a quick novella but it's packed full of good stuff if you want a quick romance. I'm glad their relationship was the focus and the murder was more background as it was pretty obvious who the killer had to be. More of my reviews can be found at https://wyldheartreads.wordpress.com/ True Colors is #3.5 in the Elder Races series. I’ve previously read True Colors when it first came out on 2011. It has been republished with a new cover, but the content is still the same. I really like the Elder Races series and anything that is published I devour with great relish. Ms. Harrsion has created a fun and unique world. With a verity of supernaturals. This novel is short, to the point, and gives you just a taste of what she has created. Their’s danger, romance, and passion. Both characters are likable. It’s an insta-love romance. They both know they are mates and so they hit it off right away. The murder mystery was nice, but wrapped up rather fast and without a big explosion. I enjoyed this novel, but I wish their was more. Rated: 3 Stars A short e-book set in Harrison's Elder Races series. I really adored this short story. Alice Clark is a rare species of shifters. Her kind has been hunted to the point of near extinction, so when a serial killer starts targeting her small community of shifters she's assigned a personal body guard, wolf shifter Gideon Riehl. This was a really fast paced short story, I figured out who the serial killer was fairly early in the story but the ride was still really fun. Gideon and Alice were both great characters, so watching them get to know one another was the main attraction to the book. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a quick paranormal romance read. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

A Novella of the Elder Races Alice Clark, a Wyr and schoolteacher, has had two friends murdered in as many days, and she's just found the body of a third. She arrives at the scene only minutes before Gideon Riehl, a wolf Wyr and current detective in the Wyr Division of Violent Crimeâ??and, as Alice oh-so-inconveniently recognizes at first sight, her mate. But the sudden connection Riehl and Alice feel is complicated when the murders are linked to a serial killer who last struck seven years ago, killing seven people in seven days. They have just one night before the killer strikes again. And every sign points to Alice as the next victim. Warning: This book contains a hot police detective, a violent murderer on the hunt, and a heroine that can blend in anywhere... Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
