Love and magic triumph over evil in two sizzling holiday novellas. CHRISTINE FEEHAN — "Rocky Mountain Miracle" "When Cole Steele, a womanizer rumored to have killed his father, meets Maia Armstrong, a veterinarian rumored to practice magic, the sparks that fly could melt all the snow on his Wyoming ranch. And when an injured horse brings them together, Cole can't help but believe that Maia casts spells on animals and men. What else could explain the burning passion he feels for her and the thawing of his heart around the holidays?" SUSAN SIZEMORE — "A Touch of Harry" "When the injured wolf Dr. Marjorie Piper takes back to her kennel turns into a man, Marj is stunned, and keeps his subsequent escape a secret. The only thing more difficult to hide is the burning desire she feels for Harrison Blethyin, a stranger in town who brings out her animal instincts. But when Marj and Harry join forces to find a pack of runaway teens before Christmas, truths are revealed that will bind their souls together forever." Title: The Shadows of Christmas Past Authors: Christine Feehan & Susan Sizemore Publisher: Pocket Star Reviewed By: Arlena Dean Series: Christmas Series #3 (Primes #2.5) Rating: 4 Review: "The Shadows of Christmas Past" What I liked about this novel..... These were two opposite types of novels with one being a little sad but the other one made up for it with all of its humorous things that were going on in its story. Now, if you like magic with mystery, healing, suspense, vampires, werewolf's, shifters, paranormal (yes fantasy) and romance both of these reads along with the holiday Christmas spirit that will definitely put a smile on your face. I found the stories were well written with some very interesting well developed characters that will keep you turning the pages till the end in these heartwarming tales. ROCKY MOUNTAIN MIRACLE by Christine Feehan When Cole Steele, a womanizer rumored to have killed his father, meets Maia Armstrong, a veterinarian rumored to practice magic, the sparks that fly could melt all the snow on his Wyoming ranch. And when an injured horse brings them together, Cole can't help but believe that Maia casts spells on animals and men. What else could explain the burning passion he feels for her and the thawing of his heart around the holidays? A TOUCH OF HARRY by Susan Sizemore When the injured wolf Dr. Marjorie Piper takes back to her kennel turns into a man, Marj is stunned, and keeps his subsequent escape a secret. The only thing more difficult to hide is the burning desire she feels for Harrison Blethyin, a stranger in town who brings out her animal instincts. But when Marj and Harry join forces to find a pack of runaway teens before Christmas, truths are revealed that will bind their souls together forever. Both stories are about female veterinarians who can talk to animals, and both fit really well in the shorter length--they felt complete and not rushed. **** "Rocky Mountain Miracle" by Christine Feehan. Nice story about abused brothers learning to trust with the help of a woman who talks to animals. **** "A Touch of Harry" by Susan Sizemore. Another woman who talks to animals, this time paired up with a werewolf on the trail of some missing teen weres. She rescues a drugged wolf & ends up with a naked man in the cage in her clinic, and unknowingly hires him to find himself. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
