I love the Dinosaur vs. series and I find them funny to read aloud. I also like reading them to myself. However this current Dinosaur incarnation doesn't seem as good as the others. The Dinosaur is bringing animals to the library for all of them to make noise at the library. I thought perhaps the plot would be Dinosaur "attacking" different parts of the library until he is tamed by story time. ( ) If you are looking for an interesting book with repetitive sight words? Then this is the book for you! Dinosaur vs. The Library is a cute and short book about a Dinosaur who “wins” as he convinces every animal he comes across to roar instead of making their own noise. The colorful pictures and excellent use of interesting fonts and text size makes this book particularly engaging. It also serves as a wonderful lesson to small children about being quiet in the library and while listening to stories. The only think that I don’t love is this idea that the dinosaur winning is when other give up what they naturally do for what he does. It is a small thing, but I envision a kindergartner taking this idea a little too far. Would still recommend! Maybe the other books explain how the cow, chicks, etc. are friends with dinosaur? I know I wouldn't like it if I were minding my own business and having a rowdy acquaintance come up and ROAR at me. But hey, this isn't for me. It's for kids who are more extroverted, who aren't wired to be drawn to libraries, who have trouble mastering their 'inside roar.' And for those kids, I think this would be effective. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

Dinosaur is going to one of his favorite places, the library, and on the way he encounters a series of animals, including a cow, baby chicks, a turtle, and an owl, and shares his roars with each. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
