Michael Dunnaway has it all-a wife he loves, three sons, an earldom. Except he isn't getting any younger-and his body lets him know in a way that makes him doubt his masculinity. His impotence with Clarissa drives him to seek out new thrills. He's contemplating giving up everything for the satisfaction he finds with a nubile French whore, but with the pleasure comes guilt. Is betraying the love of his life worth temporary gratification and the restoration of his confidence? Clarissa has entered a world of shocking passions and unheard of acts, welcoming Michael with open arms. Hidden behind a mask, and with the help of a whorehouse madam, she finds she'd do just about anything to win her husband back. But will it be enough? And will the deep cravings they explore as strangers reveal more devastating secrets? Or will they discover their dark passion and wicked desires can lead to a greater love?… (plus d'informations)

Oh my Goodness, oh my Goodness!!!
I've read a lot of tasty books but this one was something more!
I have to give my compliments to the author because it really was the best book I've read and i'm happy to have the second and the third book here ready to be read or i would go crazy trying to find them in the stores.
It's a juicy story. Of how far love can go, what it will make you do to keep your loved one close to your heart and the importance of being sincere with your partner. With a lot of kinky in between.
This story shows real problems that a lot of couples go through.
The author made the characters look more real therefore I've been able to love them more.
I don't know if i would have been strong enough to do what Clarissa did, but I've always known that if your man is starting to doubt and to look for what he needs somewhere else, instead of getting angry you should try something new and to make him remember what made him fall in love for you.
Getting angry will only prove him that he was right in finding pleasure somewhere else.
I also loved how she got her sweet revenge on Michael.
Eliza Lloyd is my new favorite author. ( )

Another beach read

This book bothered me. The sex was mostly hot but damn I hated the hero. He was a total asshat and had no character development at all. The ending was the "if only we had spoken" crap that I hate so much.

If I were rating on sex scenes alone (of which this book has many), I would give this 4 stars. But the hero was such an asshat that I mostly curled my lip in distaste for most of the book. ( )

This is one of my free downloads. I love historical romance so I decided to try a free one. I always prepare myself when I’m reading a free Kindle book because I know that sometimes they’re free for a reason. This one was pretty good for what it was, but it was also forgettable. I wish I had written my review right after I read it, but maybe waiting a few days is the perfect test for a book.

There’s not much character development here because, let’s be honest, this isn’t that kind of book. Again, I will commend the writer for giving Michael and Clarissa a history. I like that in an erotic romance because when an author just throws two people together and says “here, you’re suddenly in love, now have sex” it’s the most unrealistic story. Though there wasn’t much development, there was a pretty good sense for their personalities. Clarissa loves her husband and would do almost anything to make him happy and satisfy him. She just wants him to talk to her about what’s wrong. Michael loves Clarissa too. He’s ashamed of his impotence and he’s afraid to tell Clarissa his needs. They were both likable characters. I just didn’t remember much about them when I started writing this review.

Thankfully, it’s not all sex. A lot of it is, but there are some scenes of contemplation by both Michael and Clarissa. That’s a plus because while I obviously enjoy reading erotic romance from time to time, I don’t like it when they never leave the bedroom. There needs to be a plot for it to be any good, and this one has enough of one to satisfy me. I will admit that the sex went just a little out of my comfort zone a time or two, but it was nothing I couldn’t handle.

Wicked Desires has likable characters and some very sexy scenes, but it was easily forgettable. Still, I liked it enough that I’m going to read the second in the series. ( )
