And, it never lets go until the last page is turned. Kidnapping and child abuse every parent's nightmare, how to cope, how to help, whom to trust, these are just a few of the emotions evoked here. The mystery- who is responsible for taking Sammie and Alex? Why? The suspense- will we find the children? Will they be all right? The books has a great opening that pulls you right in by introducing the the abduction of two of three triplets at the movie theater, then rapidly introduced the family, investigators and several suspects which all have strong motive commit the crime. Somehow at about 30% of the book, the story lost momentum. Reasons become less convincing and events became unbelievable and dragging. The writing was not too polished or descriptive...For example, quite a bit of time was spent describing the three triplets, and I've already forgotten who is whom...I became quite bored by 60% of the books and just wanted it to finish already. While the story itself was great, I found the extreme number of typos to be distracting. At times, it made the book confusing- especially when dates were incorrect or a random quotation mark was placed in a non-dialogue sentence. Other than this, the book was riveting. I'm not a huge fan of mystery books, but I couldn't put this one down! I actually ended up reading it in one day. The writing was intense and quick-paced. I would recommend it for anyone who enjoys thrillers and needs a quick book to read- I found it great for reading in between class texts. However, if you find that you're a stickler for grammar rules and correct spelling, you may get a little annoyed! aucune critique | ajouter une critique

The couple cling to each other and to Jackie while waiting for some news of their daughters. The police are doing everything that they can but they have no real clues. The security at the mall is still questioning mall visitors hoping to find a lead.
The suspense builds as the author introduces different characters that might have had something to do with the kidnapping but when the true kidnapper is revealed it turns out to be a very surprising twist. ( )
