Here Are The Suggested Rules of the Game: 1. Please play on the most recent correct post. 2 Please verify that no one else has posted while you were preparing your post. 3. The title of the book cited must have one word, at least, which is the same as a word in the previous title. 4. The repeated word in the new title must be other than an article ("a", "an", or "the"). 5. The repeated word must be spelled exactly as the word was spelled in the previous title. E.g., "prune" is not the same word as "prunes", and "loyal" is not the same word as "loyalty." 6. The repeated word must be in the title as shown on the title page of the book--not, e.g., part of the series name unless such is part of the title as shown on the title page. 7. A hyphenated word is one word, not two: e.g., "thunder-clouds"; and if used must be repeated in full, not in part only. 8. If you have read the book it would be informative that you so indicate and tell when you read it, if you can. 9. Try to use Touchstones. Put brackets around the title and double brackets around the author. If Touchstones don't work, try using an html link. Very practical guide to establishing a web presence for a small business. (Touchstone not working) And No Birds Sang, by Farley Mowat (read 23 Nov 1986) My comment on this book after I read it: This is about Mowat's experience in world War II and I was really affected by it. He tells things as I believe they were: no glamour, really rough. He was in Sicily and Italy with a Canadian regiment. The book ends abruptly at Christmas 1943. It is most anti-war, and its object is to again put the lie to Homer's claim that it is a sweet and good thing to die for one's country. This is one of my more moving reading experiences. Ten days to D-Day : citizens and soldiers on the eve of the invasion by David StaffordM. VVilliam Shake-speare, his true chronicle history of the life and death of King Lear, and his three daughters With the vnfortunate life of Edgar, sonne and heire to the Earle of Glocester, and his sullen and assumed humour of Tom of Bedlam. As it was plaid before the Kings Maiesty at White-Hall, vpon S. Stephens night, in Christmas hollidaies. By his Maiesties Seruants, playing vsually at the Globe on the Banck-side by William ShakespeareSince this is a 1608 edition, some of the words in the title are spelled much differently than they would be spelled today.
