I'm waiting for word on when the next GLBT Archives Libraries Museums & Special Collections (ALMS) Conference will be. Quatrefoil Library & The Tretter Collection at the University of Minnesota co-sponsored the first in 2006. CLAGS-CUNY hosted in 2008.
The 2008 conference is archives here http://web.gc.cuny.edu/clags/glbtalms/.
Can't wait til the next one!

Love the idea of this. Is anyone thinking of organizing the next one? You're all welcome to come to Pittsburgh. However and trip to Florida or California sometime in Feb or Mar sound good too.

How many people attended in the past? How many different libraries were represented.

I would say about 100 people, were at the previous conferences, and there was international representation:US, South Africa, Germany, The Netherlands, New Zealand....it was incredible! Most were archives, Leather Archives, One Institute, Lesbian Herstory Archives, or special collections attached to larger libraries.
There is a conference steering committee, and last I heard 2010 was going to be in Atlanta, but I haven't heard any updates lately. Join the GAY-LIBN listserv for updates.

Anyone know the web site for the LA conference? I thought I saw a call for papers not too long ago but I can't find it now. Dan
