Equality Libraries Serving Everyone (ELSE) - Community based LGBT libraries.

New thread for community based LGBT libraries.

Please submit other ideas for name of a group for folks working, volunteering, and supporting community based LGBT libraries.

A proposal to form a Facebook group and work towards a face-to-face gathering, but we need a name! So far, the best I have come up with is:
Equality Libraries Serving Everyone (ELSE)

How about Queer Community Libraries (QCL) for the FB page? "ELSE" is ok but too ambiguous, don't you think?

Equality Forum http://www.equalityforum.com/index.cfm has offered to have us meet in conjunction with their meeting in Philadelphia May 3 - 6, 2012.

I like initials that actually spell something so was trying various combinations.

Personally, I'd prefer something with one of the following words or variations there on: Rainbow, Pride, Lavender, Equality, Out. Thought about using a famous person but that didn't really gel with me.

How about: Pride Community Libraries (PCL would be pronounced pickle) or

for alliteration: Rainbow Reading Resources or Lavender Lending Libraries

May 2012 is far enough away to give us time to plan and thanks to the Equality Forum.
