À propos de ma bibliothèqueI admit it. I'm a book junkie. I can't pass a table of used books without seeing if there is anything good and I can't go to a bookstore without buying at least one thing. I have my local library system website on favorites. I was horrified by the Twilight Zone episode "Time Enough at Last" where Burgess Meredith collects every book he wants to read only to end up breaking his glasses. Don't worry, I'm sure the gift has arrived except that I'm not home right now and won't be 'till January 3rd. I'm kinda worried as to how many days they'll hold it before sending it back :oS
But I'm sure it'll be ok, thanks for offering to send me another one if it didn't get there though, that's very kind.

Oh, goodness. The toothpaste! I can see how that can often be the case. There is something so irresistible about samples or anything that appears free. My youngest sister kept trying to take uncredited gift cards from stores for years. Little ones are funny. Well, at least you will never have to hunt all over for toothpaste. When each tube runs out you can tell someone that she saved the day. ;)

I would love a copy, but my friend just had surgery yesterday and I was thinking of going to see her tomorrow, so I won't be able to go to Mawmawrooooowasit.
The Voracious Reader sounds like a hoot, tho! Have fun.
Yes! Let's do it! I would love to see you guys before I leave!

It's great to "see" you all too, after all this time. I feel like a total stranger to everyone and I'm sure some people are like "who is that?"
He he he.
Hey, I still have that certain something I brought you from L-town......

We are very happy today that she is safe and that no one was hurt! It blew me out of my mind. I was stumped. Never in a million years would I have thought this would happen at our high school. We live in a pretty small, peaceful city. My mother and I were slow to react, wondering how worried we should be. Seeing all the chaos near the high school definitely got us worked up.
I wasn't surprised to hear the first teen who was caught with a gun doesn't even live here, but am angry that they had to bring their violence over to our city, and into our high school. Of course, there is no telling who the mystery participants that got away are. Gangs. I wish to hurl heavy rocks at them.
*hugs*

I'm sorry I can't remember my wisdom teeth being removed very well. It's been eleven years. I do think it's normal for at least your molar teeth to be sensitive right now, especially if there had been pressure between them and your wisdom teeth. Your teeth could be adjusting or moving slightly, in a good way. Maybe it's also possible that this pain has to do with nerves in your jaw. It's possible for us to feel pain in the wrong places sometimes. A perfect example is when I had my back surgery - while my back was fine at the hospital, my arms hurt horribly. There wasn't any reason for it but nerves, and the doctor said so. I do remember pain where the shot was given with my wisdom teeth extraction and when I had a root canal. I'd say it's worse to not get numbed up, though, without a question. You would have been in worse pain. I myself am very difficult to numb because I have extra nerves and teeth roots. My root canal was the worst pain I've ever had.
Keep healing! And I am proud of you for going in for this procedure! I know you do not like to go to dentists.

I got some food recommendations from my mom for you. She's had to rely on a lot of soft foods because of her teeth. I'm not sure how these things will sound to you. I suppose it depends on your taste buds and openness to different foods. I hope some will be helpful, though. It seems many have recommended apple sauce and yogurt already. I read a few mashed potato recommendations, too. There are also spaghettios and soups. I enjoy frozen mashed strawberries bought in packs of individual containers sold not yet frozen at grocery stores.
Otherwise, these are my mom's suggestions: She's bought meat in baby food jars (don't laugh) such as chicken and mixed it with chicken broth, sometimes with baby rice cereal, and other times in soup. Other food suggestions of hers are laughing cow cheese (I told you not to laugh ;), egg whites, scrambled eggs, and tuna fish mixed with mayonnaise. Protein shakes and Ensure (liquid nutrition) are beneficial most especially when you're unable to chew for a good amount of time.
I hope you heal quickly, are able to eat more, and are feeling better soon! Much love.

(And we made it out of the Bronx just fine, though Espy says he understands why you were hesitant to recommend the Cross-Bronx Expressway!) ;-)
