À mon sujetI read everywhere, (at sports events, school events, long boring events), and almost always more than one book at a time. My library doesn't reflect much of what I'm into at the moment since I read extensively from the library and the local book store (especially when I can't decide if a book is worth the money.

I collect older books, currently I'm seeking Edna St Vincent Millay and anything of John Dos Passos. I search methodically and rather slowly, that's half the fun. The other half is in holding a hundred year old book in my hand. Heavenly.

À propos de ma bibliothèqueI continue to tackle "1001 Books", I'm heavy into theology and religion and an occasional bestseller.

Latest acquisitions:

Like Water for Chocolate
Light on Snow
The Voyage of the Narwhal
Foucault's Pendulum
Zorba the Greek
The Accidental Tourist
Cat's Cradle

I'm about to embark on the "Voyage of the Narwhal".

Good reading, everyone!

Thea,
Are you still here? When did you go private?
You are missed...
Clare
Hey again, Thea!

How are things going for you these days? Having your your whole family home for turkey next week?

Clare
Too funny! I read STRANGER IN A STRANGE LAND many, many years ago in a universe far, far away: high school! I don't even remember the story, but the title is unforgettable. Right now I'm reading VANISHED, the Early Reviewers book I scored. It is excellent!
Hey Thea!
How the BLEEP are you? :o) Good to see you've been adding so many books to your catalog.
Clare
LOL!
If they are swedish language, or translated to swedish, then I enter them under their swedish title ;-)
The last of the mohicans was my dad's book; I rescued it despite never having liked it much.
Lots of new books... fun!

I'm fine, thanks for asking :-)

Off on vacation on Sunday - possibly I'll be off line for most of four weeks - but I do hope to find some well stocked bookshops for used books, though. Up north, where we are going, life's still much as what it was in Stockholm 15-20 years ago, meaning used goods have a value... ;-)
Hey,
I hope everything is OK with you? Haven't seen you around in a while!
Hello TheaMak, here's another associate from Shejidan wanting to add you to her web. :)
TheaMak, I believe we are acquainted through Shejidan and so am hoping you will not spurn my offer of LT Friendship. :tea

(In case you don't recognise me: my Shejidan avatar is somewhat different than the one I use on LT).
I started a discussion on The Faded Sun over at Shejidan - here's the direct link to the topic http://z11.invisionfree.com/Shejidan/index.php?showtopic=1052&hl=

:-)
Thank you for accepting my invetation :) You may notice that Busifer and I share many friends. We are all collectors of C J Cherryh's works. And members of a Cherryh fan site. Welcome
Oh, it means we can spy on each other's activities ;-)
Check out the 'connections' link.. oh no! they have taken it away! I hope it's temporary... anyway, you could use it to see what your friends had added or reviewed earlier.
I realise I had not asked if you wanted to be my friend, despite the very long conversation we've had on Foreigner these last... what is it - months?!
Anyway, now I clicked the link, hoping you'd like to be my friend :-)
TheaMak,

Thank you so much for the books you choose as my LibraryThing Secret Santa. I started the first book last night and can not wait to continue. What a great choice.
Thanks again!

Hi TheaMak, just dropping in to say...HI!
Hey, TheaMak - nice to see you here as well as at Twisted Sisters. Yep, a Jamie and Claire fan. I just reread the first 3, and will probably start on the 4th after I finish up this funny Bill Bryson I have going. Do you read the Lord John Grey books, too?
