À mon sujetProfessional (accredited) indexer, after several decades in the world of library cataloguing and classification. I also now work part-time at Oxford Brookes University library as Extended Hours Coordinator (lot of enquiry work). So information retrieval is my raison d'etre. I've also been a long-time union activist at local, regional and national level, first in Nalgo and Unison, and subsequently in UCU. I now live half the year in Oxford, the other half in France.

I'm sure I'll also add highlights from earlier days when the mood takes me. I think my collection could be described as `catholic`.
