Having lived near Boise and experienced what it's like there (just after the book was published), this book helped rip the whole community apart (perhaps for the best). In the land of folk who lean to the right of the religious spectrum, there lies a secret that acts as the "can opener." A transcript of interviews between John Gerassi and Sartre in 1970-74 covering a lot of different areas, but mainly Sartres life and political career, The Spanish Civil War, The Occupation of France, May 68 and the CP in the 50s as well as some of Srtres philosophy. Old. Contains some early writings on development theory by some leading writers such as Furtado. The introductory essay by Horowitz is strange and eccentric.
